Jordan Broadworth was born in Esquesing, Ontario in 1968. Broadworth studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design (BFA 1992) prior to graduating from the University of Guelph's Master of Fine Art program in 1996. He has participated in over 30 exhibitions in Canada and the United States. His solo exhibitions include: Leo Kamen Gallery, Toronto ON, (2006). Simon Gallery, Morristown, NJ, (2004), The Kenderdine Art Gallery, Saskatoon, SK (2002), Pari Nadimi Gallery, Toronto, ON (2000, 2001, 2002), The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Halifax, NS (1994), His work has been in such notable group shows as: “Abstraction”, Diaz Contemporary, Toronto, ON (2006), “Spell”, The Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon, SK (2005). “The Big Abstract Show”, The Painting Center, New York, NY (2003), Hungry Eyes”, Dalhousie Art Gallery, Halifax, NS (2002), “Manifest Destiny”, Art Gallery of Mississauga, Mississauga, ON (1998). Broadworth has also curated exhibitions, including, “Spell”, Mendel Art Gallery, Saskatoon, SK (2006)

Reviews and articles on Broadworth have appeared in The Globe and Mail, The Hudson Review, New York Times, Canadian Art Magazine, and C International. Exhibition Catalouges featuring Jordan Broadworth’s work include, “Vivid”, University of Waterloo, Waterloo, ON (2004), “Hungry Eyes”, Dalhousie Art Gallery (2002), Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, “Contingency & Continuity”, Macdonald Stewart Art Center, Guelph, ON (1999), “Manifest Destiny”, The Art Gallery of Mississauga, Mississauga, ON (1998), “Jordan Broadworth”, Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, (1994). He has received grants from the Ontario Arts council and the Canada Council for the Arts. In 1993 Broadworth was selected as a Central Canadian Finalist for the RBC Painting Award.


Represented by Michael Gibson Gallery in London, Ontario, and Katzman Kamen Gallery in Toronto.
